Musicor is one of the labels I could never figure out. Teen pop, soul, Teddy & the Pandas rock, and a whole bunch of uninspiring country singles mingled in (except that some of the George Jones stuff is pretty damn good). I think it is safe to say I usually cringe when I see a Musicor label. Their were 6 or 7 Musicor 45's in this buy: several soul including this one, several Teddy/Pandas, and some mediocre country. When I pulled this one out, I had a good feeling it would be killer and I was not disappointed.

Whoever voted "Yuck" on this is a fucking idiot! This is a monster soul record. I've been trying without success to score a copy. Every time I do, some other schmuck gets it first. Oh well, in my dreams.....

ReplyDeleteLOL....Obviously I list stuff I like so I am always amazed when everyone does not have the same taste as me.
ReplyDeleteA note, Musicor's Soul label, Dynamo has some superb 45 singles and an LP or two. Highly sought after rarities by the UK Northern Soul Crowd. Worth digging for.
