Day 2 of my Twelve Days of Christmas. From 1989.
My feeble attempt at documenting my record collection and music obsession.

Darlene Love - Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)
The Twelve Days of Christmas posts. Thought I would start out with a biggie that I picked up around Christmas last year but already had my posts planned. I was happy to finally get a copy of this one. I'm still on the lookout for some other biggies on my want list and maybe someday.

Boo Boo & Bunky - Turn Around ./ This Old Town
It's only Wednesday but work has been rough this week. I am so looking forward to the weekend. I believe there is a record show in Raleigh Sunday- I have not been to a show in years but I am not sure I want to venture out

Mad Mike & The Maniacs - The Hunch / Quarter To Four
My new router was acting up yesterday and this morning. It better shape up as I will take it back in a heartbeat because of the amount of $ I paid for it

The Prophets LTD - All Of My Life
Other projects kept me busy all day yesterday and I did not get to record any 45s. Digging into the archives of stuff I have recorded but have not uploaded. I believe this is a pricey one

The One Way Streets - If You're Looking For A Fool / What's Your Name
The old turntable setup is back in place so I guess this weekend I need to start recording some Christmas songs for the 12 days of Christmas. Here's a nice doowop soul sounding 45 from a Memphis group.. The cogs has them as "The One Way Streets" as they put out one 45 apparently as them before shortening it. Since there are a bunch of One Way Street groups and I already uploaded a different one I will honor the cogs..all hail the cogs...lol

Gerald Goodwin And The Good Guys - Insurance / Ookie From Muskogee
My readyshare was not working again but at least I prepared yesterday and uploaded pics and mp3's just in case. I rebooted my router and its working again. I received some Christmas 45's in the mail yesterday so its now just a matter of choices.
I was going to post this one a few weeks ago but didn't want to do 2 Merle Haggard songs in a row. Obscure Kinston North Carolina label

Len Barry - You Baby / Would I Love You
I woke up with a crink in my neck, we have a heavy rain and the readshare was not working again. Almost cause to go back to bed but I'm a trooper. I took care of the crink with a heavy hot shower, can't do anything about the rain, but rebooted the router and readyshare is working again. I really need to figure that out as I don't want that to be a daily thing.
Len was in the Dovalls and had a few solo hits most notably 1-2-3, but this was probably one of my favorites of his. Killer cover of You Baby (Ronettes do a killer version as well)

Jimmy Buffett - Come Monday
I did not record anything this weekend as I figured I would get my old setup back in play. I am anticipating putting a turntable in the living room . I think I have enough mp3's floating around on my computer to keep me going until I am back up and running. I set up my new router this weekend and the readyshare set up perfectly. Of course, this morning I had issues with accessing it...always something it seems!
