Early 1980s reissue promo. Gram Parsons was fantastic...some interesting documentatires out there that I recommend and I watched one recntly. And the movie about stealing his body is a worthwhile watch. He died way too soon but that can be the price for substance use. If you have a problem with substance use please seek help.

This 45 was a recent pickup. I never really appreciated Jesus and Mary Chain at the time. My friend Rodney loved them and I just didn't spend time trying to like them. I am realizing now in my older age that was a big mistake. I have picked up some reissues of their LP's over the past year including the Third Man Vault reissue of Psychcandy, and of course still have the Sub Pop LP.

There does not appear to be a stock US copy of this- only promo 12" and 7".  I picked up the promo 12" around the time I heard it on radio

Led Zeppelin - Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You / Dazed & Confused

I am still struggling from my recent travels and woke up late so I did not get to do my daily post until my lunch time. So I thought I would do a massive rarity. Years ago I saw a craiglist ad that a guy was selling his 45s (about 150 or so) and he had a picture. In the corner of the picture was this sleeve. I responded and ended up driving about 100 miles to him. As I looked in the box of 45s everything was just regular stuff nothing special and at the very end of the box here it was. I had been worried it was gone so I eagerly paid him $. The 45 looks VG+ and I remember it playing not very well. I cleaned it with the ultrasonic Humminguru and it played much better than I remembered. I have had other Atlantic promos from this time that that look perfect but play absolutely horribly (A YES 45 Every Little Thing comes to mind)
