Emitt Rhodes - With My Face On The Floor

I never understood why Emitt Rhodes was never a superstar. What a brilliant 45 that received no attention. Emitt was definitely a record label casualty. Matter of fact, the record store where I first bought a mint UK copy of his debut for a buck was also a casualty. Maybe it's a conspiracy?

The self-titled lp that this 45 comes from is a great listen.... definitely a go-to album when I need something longer than a 45, but can't figure out what I want to hear.

I agree. One of my "take to a desert Island" lp's

One of my favorite tunes and a superb LP all around. A classic.

This song is my theme song, as spastic me took a lot of tumbles to the Floor. Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida does that. A theme song on air for many years. Emitt Rhodes has amazing talent and blows my mind every time he has new music I find. Ignore him at your peril.

Czar...thanks for sharing and keep on fighting brother. Emitt is releasing his first new lp since the 70's in the upcoming months. I think it is going to be on Omnivore records
