The Long Island Sound- One Two Three and I Fell

Today's post has a funny story. Just over 8 years ago, my wife went to Florida to take care of her mother for about a month. This allowed me to roam far and wide looking for records. One Saturday, I was on the way home from a South Carolina trip. In a town near us, I went into an antique store for records. As I was leaving, I was approached by an older couple who told me they had a bunch of 45's. I arranged to go to their home a few weeks later. They had about 300 promo 45's that belonged to a friend of theirs who had lived with them. There was alot of cool MGM promos from the Animals, Hermits, etc and I offered them $200. They declined saying they needed to ask their friend. Well, I called them several times and they would not answer so I quit bugging them.  Fast forward 8 years: a few weeks ago, there was a craiglist ad from that town about promo 45's for $200..could it be the same ones???? I emailed the seller and he called me and we arranged to meet at a Lowes'. The minute I arrived I recognized him although he did not act like he remembered me. I did a quick look through and offered him $150. I took out 5 twenties and he said "Oh, $100 will be just fine". Waiting 8 years saved me $100. This cool 45s was in that box. I always loved the Tommy James & The Shondells version and this one hits the spot as well
