Searchers When You Walk In The Room

Killer British invasion 45 with the Searchers doing the fine Jackie DeShannon classic. This made only #35 in the charts but I happen to think it is one of the finest of the invasion singles. Jackie had scored a #99 hit with this a few years earlier. I recently found a copy of her version in one of my boxes of 45's that I did not even know I had. Sweet! So to celebrate that, I found us a nice youtube video of Jackie singing it and found some other Searchers videos as well. What a great group!

My favorite version of this classic Jackie De Shannon tune. Superb twangy electric 12 string and harmonies. Easily one of my favorite Searchers 45 singles, and I love their output for Pye in the UK issued here on Kapp. Engineered by Bob Auger.
