The Schramms - Heart Not Within

Dave Schramm was first in Yo La Tengo and is featured on their very first LP. After he left, he formed The Schramms, and I discovered their lp's via the Okra label. This was a one off on Matador. I love thier records although I will admit I heard their most recent one and it really did not grab me which is very unfortunate. I was fortunate to see Dave play with Yo La Tengo in Durham pre Covid.

The Ventures - Gemini/La Bamba

Time for more Ventures. There are so many label variastions so I always pick up copies of Ventures 45's just because there is a possibility I don't have that one.

The Loving Sisters Honest Prayer/Who Can Ask For More

Back to gospel 45s with another Peacock. Found I had some recording issues with a few others and luckily this one recorded just fine. I recently started putting all my gospel 45s in one handy box.

Nirvana - Sliver /Dive

I end Sub Pop week with a massive one. Lots of variations and I am missing some. I also have some reissues that Newbury Comics put out but I don't have in my database where they are at. I really need to fix that. The white vinyl version is probably the rarest and I heard they only pressed a hundred or so. Someone recently messaged me wanting to buy it from me. I told them they didn't have enough money and left it at that.

Beat Happening - Nancy Sin /Left Behind

Sub Pop week continues with another of my faves. And a Test Pressing as well. I was so sad when Beat Happening quit. A few years ago, I sold Calvin a 45 and I told him how much I loved his music. A few weeks later he sent me a package with one of his albums and made me a mix tape. How cool is that!

Das Damen - Sad Mile / Making Time

Underated Sub Pop singles club 45 with a cover of the Creation song on the B side. Oh, and how about a Test Pressing of this 45

Flaming Lips - Drug Machine /Strychnine/Peace Love and Understanding

Sub Pop week continues with another early Singles Club 45. I think I have written how I got into the singles club late. But luckily the early ones (except Love Buzz) were easy to find. I might add that I had the opportunity around the time I was buying them to get a Love Buzz for around $50...I was broke back then but sure wish I would have starved to get it

Mudhoney - Touch Me I'm Sick

Sub Pop week continues with a massive 45 that to me defines grunge. As you can see, I have many copies on different colors...1st pressing brown, 1st pressing black (I think this was sent as a promo), the yellow was one where they were testing different colors and was limited to 10-15 copies, and of course all the 2nd pressing different colors and 3rd and 4th pressings.
