Daughters of Albion- Story Of Sad

I had a nice little day not planning to look for any records. I went to my friend's home and he showed me the goodies he has found over the past month and he gave me a couple of cool 45's. He also ran into a new store/yard sale today and bought 38 killer soul/blues lp's from the 60's and told me he left quite a few. I went by and ended up paying $20 bucks for 22 killer soul/blues /jazz lp's from the likes of Jr. Walker and the All Stars, Muddy Waters, BB King, Walter Jackson, Ike & Tina Turner, Curtis Mayfield, Miles Davis, Mississippi John Hurt etc. I spent the afternoon listening to 3 JR Walker LP's and the Miles Davis LP-All in very nice condition.
But this is not a soul night- it's my traditional garage/psych night and I desire to continue it with this moody baroque 45.

A very fine slice of baroque pop produced by Leon Russell. Reminds me very much of the early Left Banke records in sound and style. The electric guitar break on the finish is a completely unexpected surprise. Love this record, very unusual.

I passed on their LP one time which I now regret. Glad you enjoyed it
