It's going to be a cold wet weekend I believe so I see burrowing in the warmth of my record room is in my future. A little sweet soul for this Friday. I had never heard this one before until I picked it up from a friend. Brenton had a few minor hits and one that I hear all the time Oogum Boogum Song was as big as a hit as Baby You Got It (Billboard #34). I find this fact amazing considering I always thought Oogum Boogum was a top 10 smash...go figure. Brenton's real name is Alfred Jesse Smith so he was aparently a co-writer on this. I hope he profited.
