Paul Paree - Big Daddy / Don't You Scold Me

I hope everyone had a happy Turkey Day. We had tons of food as for the first time in years there was more than just me, the wife and the dog. With all the food choices, I stuck to Turkey, my wife's killer stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Oh, and I was forced to have green beens (my argument there was green celery in the stuffing did not wash).
Here is a Friday rarity that I have had this one for quite a while. I have seen this listed as teenybopper and rockabilly.

Hello! Long time reader/lurker, first time commenter (I think). I was just curious to know what your digi conversion set up consists of. I have an AT-LP120 run through a U-Phono UFO202 into my laptop, where I use Vinyl Studio for recording and cleanup. I'm always looking to hear about what others are doing, and pick up any tips for boosting/cleaning the recordings. Thanks, and I truly do enjoy your blog!

Dave, I am glad you are enjoying my blog. I am not sophisticated with my set up I can assure you. I have a couple of Technic's turntables and the program I am using is the old Roxio program. I did run into a snag last year when I bought a new laptop (Samsung) when this one was acting up. I found that the roxio was not compatible with the preinstalled Windows 11. Once I was able to get the computer repaired it has been smooth sailing. I generally make sure the 45 is deep cleaned and I just record to computer. I leave it as is...no cleaning up or boosting of the recording. What you hear is what it is. I will need to check out Vinyl Studio as someday this computer will not be around. I did download some program for the new computer but I remember I just did not like it as much as the Roxio which is real easy to use.
Be sure to give me some suggestions of artists you may want to hear. Right now I seem to have more punk/indie 45s ready for the blog but did record a soul and blues 45 yesterday.

Thanks for getting back to me! My setup seems to work pretty good. Just last night I recorded the Four Seasons' Working My Way Back To You album. My copy is really noisy, but Vinyl Studio did a remarkable job cleaning it up. Otherwise, the pops would have blown my ears out if I listened on headphones! Anyway, punk/indie is right up my alley but I'm also a sucker for rockabilly and garage. A band that I don't see talked about much online, and that I only have one 45 from, is the Camel Drivers. Have any in your collection?
