Blue Beats Born In Chicago

Thursday night garage with the Blue Beats. Again Columbia records knocked one out of the park. According to the "Fuzz Acid and Flowers Revisited" (an essential guide to American Garage Psych, and Hippie Rock book), the Blue Beats were from Connecticut. They put out 2 Killer 45's on Columbia and I have both. "Born In Chicago" was the 2nd. I like the first one a little better but this one was ready so I am sharing. I picked this up from a friend last year who is not into garage. I had been looking for it for years and found it in a box of records he had for me. The box also had the International Submarine Band Columbia 45 in it, which I was also looking for, back to back finds....oh what a day...oh what a day!

iInteresting version of this tune associated with Paul Butterfield.
Wonder if Coumbia made them change the words.
The original version:
Born In Chicago, 19 and 41 X2
Well my papa told me son you had better get a gun.

Yep, I could imagine they made them change the lyrics. Thanks for your comments
