Well I have had a busy week as I thought but I feel really good about it. Hate that I'm too tired to upload nightly. Hate that I won't be able to scrounge for records for the next 3 months.

Well we lost power for 27 hours but overall the storm was not too bad for us with just some downed limbs and leaves. I start my hectic work/field placement schedule tomorrow so I am hoping to do at least 2-3 postings during the week.

Hopefully I will have power and cable tomorrow night so I can post. I am not expecting the winds to be as bad for us as it looks like the hurricane may make landfall about 100 miles from us.

American Breed- Don't Forget About Me

Well looks like we are going to have us a Hurricane. If the track continues as they predict then I will "enjoy" tropical force winds on Saturday as we are east of the I-90 corridor. I've experienced wind gusts up to 80 mile an hour before and it is no picnic. But it is much worse at night!.
Missed last night as my wife was in a car accident (she is just fine) but she totaled my new Toyota. Cars can be replaced but people can't. The car was a mangled mess and I have only one word for her surviving the wreck and walking out of the hospital with cuts and bruises...GOD!

Hit the beach today. Waves were a bit rough...I imagine due to the Hurricane that is possibly coming our way, which I sure hope does not. It has been awhile since one has hit us and I can tell you it is not a fun experience in the middle of the night.

Ok, its 9pm and I need the prayers of my blogger friends. My black lab (see picture) pushed the front screen door open while my wife was on the porch about 30 minutes ago and ran full blast (I think he saw a cat across the street) and was hit by a car...he bounced off and kept running. He seems ok with some minor cuts but is walking . We can't get up with the vet so do me a favor and pray for my dog Bently.

I so love the Kinks I think I will share some of my all time faves. Some of these 45s are so difficult to find and Saturday's upload will be my all time favorite. Of course I will stick solely with the Reprise 45s for this week.
I was so amazed when HP used this song a few years ago in their commercial but thought it was perfect. I found a clip of them singing this. Check out youtube for another clip that starts off with Last of the Stream Powered Trains...brilliant!
