Viceroys - Granny's Pad

I bought another Viceroy's 45 this past weekend and found a damn crack in it when I got home. I think I can still salvage some sounds without ruining my needle

Trespassers - Living Memories

The 2nd annual Highway 301 Yard sale took place today. Last year it was 30 or so miles, today 100 miles. Last year my friend Jim and I went together and did ok record wise. This year we split up, he went south and I went North. We periodically kept in touch and both did well. I picked up about a dozen or so LP's, a couple hundred 45's and 50 78's (100 of the 45's and the 78's cost me five bucks). The best deal of the day came early and I have a contact that has about 1000 promo 45's at his house. Most of what he had today was promo 60's country but I did snag from him a couple dozen killer soul and rock promo's so I can't wait to arrange a time to go to his house to see what awaits.
I found a couple of copies of this 45 a few years ago and boxed them away and only recently listened to it. Both sides are pretty good

Group Therapy - Silhouetted Summer Dream

The good thing about going to work at 5am is getting off work at Noon. After work I went to the grocery store and then home to grill some stuffed jalapeno poppers...Take the peppers, and peel out the core. Stuff with a fantastic mix of cream cheese, blue cheese and garlic and wrap with bacon. The pepper griller I bought at Walmart holds 18 of these treats.

The Survivors - Pamela Jean

I have had a pretty good run of luck. A friend gave me some Stones and Country Joe albums on Saturday. Then I went to an auction on Saturday night and bought 7 boxes of albums in quite wonderful condition. A lot of stuff I don't normally buy but you can't go wrong with perfect condition Julie London, Count Basie or Ella Fitzgerald albums. The other gentleman bidding against me probably ended up with 50+ boxes and he got a steal really with the last 30 or so boxes for 25 bucks. If I would have had a truck I would have bought more. We chatted a bit but I had to hit the road for a 1 1/2 hour drive but we have a lot of similar likes. Then today I found some import Sinatra albums and some promo 45's for .50 a piece at the Goodwill, which never has anything. Tonight I will post a pick up from the past few months. Brian Wilson jumped outside the Beach Boys with some other friends to record this.

Royal Guardsmen - Leaving Me

Forgot to post last night. Here is a killer extremely difficult 45 to find. I have looked for it for years and finally snagged a copy recently. Fuzz pre- Snoopy novelty 45.

Danish Lost & Found - First Cut Is The Deepest

The first girl I ever liked was named Laurie and that was in the 3rd grade. I won't go into how I was scarred when she rejected my love (insert tears here). But time heals all wounds and let's celebrate the memories of the "first cuts" we have all had when it comes to love
