Happy late Birthday to Smokey Robinson as I forgot he shared a birthday with Lou Christie....If I would have realized his birthday was yesterday I would have also recorded a Lou Christie version of a Smokey Robinson song. I heard a new song over the past year from Smokey and his voice still sounds so sweet at 85 young years of age. So enjoy a promo rarity from the Smokey Robinson vault. My wife grew up on the outskirts of Detroit and apparaently her cousin would clean a Motown studio. He brought her along one day and she watched the Temptations record. She didn't know who they were at the time. Can you imagine how cool that would have been!

I picked this up at Thanksgiving when I was in Charleston South Carolina with the Fam..I am surprised I don't have a stock copy of this and I just saw their is a promo red vinyl version...the hunt is on

Had a busy week that took me away from the blog. My wife's car broke down and of course it was pouring rain as I was trying to get it going. Turns out Saturns were notorious for having ignition cylinder problems. Yesterday I retiled the bathroom floor and 12 hours later I finished and trust me when I say my body and fingers are feeling it today. Thought I had better upload now while I feel up to it.
Here is a Smokey Robinson and The Miracles 45 released after I Second That Emotion. I had never heard this song before I found the 45. It was a hit reaching #11 and just goes to show that unless it was a smash hit radio all but has forgotten gems like this.
