I posted a Kingsmen 45 late last year and a follower mentioned this one. I was diggin in my boxes not too long afterward and found a copy. I wonder who was in the band at this time but it fits in nicely with the Raspberries style as he mentioned.

Missed yesterday- had alot going on. Sleeve on this one had some mold staining but otherwise in pretty nice shape for a cheap Mercury picture sleeve

Last Draft - It's Been A Long Long Time / Lovely To See You

Wish I had the obscure picture sleeve to go with it. Not a particularily rare but nice, especialy the Moody Blues cover

 Friday Soul. Not the prettiest 45 but have you noticed how worn these Okeh 45's are...because they are sooo goood!

Vivian Stanshall - Labio -Dental Fricative / Paper Bound

 I picked this one up earlier this year from the closed 2008 record store. Features Eric Clapton and he co wrote the A side. Kind of a weird one but I like it

Mission Of Burma - Academy Fight Song / Max Ernst

 Nice rain overnight so no walk for Cooper. No albums ready for this fine Wednesday so I thought why not back to back Ace Of Hearts releases. This one arrived a few weeks back and has been on my want list for quite a few years. I don't have a lot of releases from Mission of Burma but do have this really cool promo ryko cassette compilation.

It was a lovely morning for a walk with Cooper. I wish I could sleep in but when I am up I am up.  I gave up sweets for Lent and my body feels good for it...so why am I going to go to town and the first thing I am going to do is buy a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin from this wonderful bakery. While I am on the topic of sweets, how about some sweet soul on Date.

Wednesday Album Spotlight. I always loved that Southwest desert punk/indie sounds so popular in Tuscan. The Sidewinders were fantastic and as they were gaining popularity and being noticed a lawsuit forced them to change their name to the Sand Rubies. Whatever momentum they had was lost. The Sand Rubies, by the way were also fantastic. I picked up this autographed LP years ago. I had their Witchdoctor album but it is one of the "lost/missing" records from my collection I have written about...still burns my big ole butt that I don't know what happened to those records

The Only Ones - Another Girl, Another Planet / Special View

 It was a nice warm morning for our walk. I received this in the mail last week and was exited to have a classic for my Tuesday post. This has been on my want list for years. I will admit that the first time I heard this song was not this one but a cover version by the Replacements. Of course I had to seek out the original to hear and that was that. If only Juliet would not have autographed this it would be perfect

The B + 3 Delila / My Babe Before

 I had such plans for recording and barely dented it this weekend. Glad Friday is a holiday so maybe I can get some recording done then. I won this one a few weeks ago and rooted around my sleeve boxes for a sleeve. Sad thing is I knew this was on the way and I had seen a Canadian American sleeve and instead of pulling it out in preparation I left it. Of course then it took me forever to find it again. When I think of this label I think of Santo & Johnny so it is interesting to find a garagy 45. And what is up with the name..not catchy at all
