 I've still got crud so I am laying low again today. I picked this one up probably 15+ years ago. I thought I had previously uploaded it and when I was going through one of my boxes on New Years Day saw it and forgot how fantastic it is. I bought it from an older guy that used to sell me 45's for 50 cents..he was real particular of what he kept and never listened to anything. He would look at the label and tell me if I could buy it. I had no clue what this was but I had a good feeling about it and luckily he did not fancy the label. I miss Ray..not because of the deals but because we always had good conversations

He was the lead singer and guitarist in that band and sent me an MP3 of a song that was unreleased. It was fantastic and I hope he shops it to a label that comps unreleased songs. I will dig out Ice Cream and repost the song this weekend. Thanks Don!

I pray that everyone had a safe New Years Eve. I went to bed early but Cooper woke me up exactly at Midnight to celebrate....actually, he was barking at the fireworks he could hear. This morning I am watching the news and first news events are the deaths from shootings, car accidents and a stabbing last night, and a mass casualty event in New Orleans....not feeling festive with the news starting out this year. 

Today I think I will dig in my boxes. With all the boxes of 45's I have I am always finding gems that I overlooked. I have found that I recorded a lot of 45s over the past year that I have not uploaded yet. I am trying to clean that up, and plan to mix it in with new pickups. So many records...so little time. I will start the new year with a bit of North Carolina power pop. Picked this one up in 2023
