What do you want reposted??????

Divishare appears to be working  on resolving  the issue. If they  eventually  do not, I probably will pick and choose what to upload from past posts due to time constaints. Feel free to let me know what you want back up. I will probably  go forth with using the new player.

Hank Williams - Ready To Go Home

Not sure what the issue with Divishare is but it won't let me upload anything let alone play previous files. I'm trying another program, hope this works.
Here is a Hank Williams 45 I picked up last week at my favorite shop. It's a little rough around the edges but worth a listen.

DivShare issues

DivShare seems to be having some issues, or rather, I am having issues with it. I noticed it last weekend after it was down awhile. I hope to find a solution soon. In the meantime, I'll tell you a story of last Saturday. I drove in the rain to see my step son last Saturday, take him out to lunch and he happens to have moved to a town where my favorite record store is. I went there first, found some cool 45s then hit a record show in another town. Made a mistake of buying some 45's from a jerk I have bought from before. He sold me crap last time and this time he over charged me [of course I did not figure that out until I got home] and one of the 45's had a bad warp and another one was cracked worthless. He was squirrely when I started to look the 45's over and distracted me. Of course I figured all this out when I got home. And then I remember he did that last time. I am not a big fan of dishonesty so I hope he liked my money, because it's the last he will ever get from me. There is another record show tomorrow but I decided not to go. It's not a very good one and I know he will be there and I'm still seething from last week.

Jay and the Americans - Hushabye

Nice harmonies. Jay and the Americans found some chart success with covering the "oldies". This one hit #62. United Artists promoted the LP it came off as evidence by the promotional AD 45 released.

The Leopards - I Wonder If I'll Ever See You Again

This one is from 1975-76.  I typically don't post later 70's singles on this blog but I just can't get enough of this lately so I thought I would share.  I remember years ago seeing their 1st LP on Moon in a record store in Denver for 10 bucks. It was in that store for over a year and I never bought it as I just wasn't sure if I would liked it...as Homer Simpson would say...DOH!!!

Jimi Hendrix Experience - 51st Anniversary

The "b" side to Jimi's 1st 45. I have a copy of the rare Picture Sleeve that came with this but it is beyond trashed. Someone cut a hole in the middle of both sides and completely cut the seams so it is in 2 pieces- Why oh why oh why would someone do this???. Not even worth scanning.

The Ventures - Theme From A Summer Place

A pretty song done Ventures style. Follow up to Hawaii Five O- dented the bottom of the charts at #83. It was their last top 100 release. My quest for stock and promo copies of Ventures 45's continues

The Tokens - Tonight I Fell In Love

Here is one of the 45's I bought at the auction at the start of the month. I have looked for it for ages. It's nothing valuable but it proved to be a somewhat difficult 45 for me to find.

The Move- The Disturbance

I managed to run around a little today and went to a few antique stores I had wanted to hit for some time but struck out. I had seen them while at work on the way to other towns so I had them mentally tucked away. What a waste. I went to one and found a bunch of 45's and albums, took them up and was told the prices were inside the jacket. The first one I checked had a hundred dollar price tag on it..."what? Are you kidding me?" The albums were not in that great shape and were worth a buck a piece at best and the cheapest one was $25. The 45's...try $20 bucks a piece. I put them back and wished them luck. Hell, I went to an auction on February 2nd and bought about 180 45's for $110 dollars and that included a copy of the Beatles Please Please Me with the rare VJ Picture Sleeve in VG+ to NM condition [and that is a pricey item]. Here is a recent find...it's the b side of Night of Fear, which I believe is their first 45.

Nino Tempo April Stevens - Wings Of Love

How do we make sense of murder? Three individuals were brutally murdered in Chapel Hill and there are no answers that will soothe or make things better. I had worked with the father of the two women many many years ago. You could not ask for a nicer more caring man. No family on this earth should suffer such tragedy, such sadness. I pray that there is some comfort for them in their time of grief.

Kim Fowley - Bubble Gum

I snuck off to Raleigh today in the Rain to hit Pet Smart and then hit Schoolkids Records. Met a cool record store clerk, listened to Donnie and Joe Emerson Lp on Light in the Attic [a must future buy!]and bought some fantastic 45's that will make their appearance on this blog at some point [including at least 1 more Fowley related 45- the dude was everywhere!].
My last 45 in the week long tribute to Kim Fowley is the other side from last Saturday's post. The first time I ever heard this song was actually the Sonic Youth version 20+ years ago when I did not have a clue who Kim Fowley was. I am wiser now. Rest in Peace Kim,

Kim Fowley - Lights

Kim put out this 45 on Loma around the time he produced the Belfast Gypsies 45 on Loma. I uploaded one side of it a few years ago and at some point I will upload the other side.

Godfrey - The Trip

Another Fowley published song...which he also released under his own name. This one was one of the first LSD related songs released
