I love this tune. Used to listen to it in my older sister's room in the 60s. Always thought it sounded ahead of its time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :) I have been looking for this song for months now. There are 2 versions on y tube but both have been disabled by some corporation in Canada. No idea why because Lydia Purple is on there...by the same band? The Collectors were the precursors to the band Chilliwack, all from the Vancouver area, in the 60's/70's. HUGE to my mid teens. :)

Last week the CBC Vancouver Radio 1 Programme 'Earlier' played a track by The Collage off their 1968 S/T album.I checked out the album to note that a cover of 'Looking At A Baby' opens the album. That got me to googling the song to discover your very interesting blog.I know that the song(written by Howie Vickers & Bill Henderson) has been covered more than a few times but I still like the original the best.

I believe I have the 2nd Collage LP. I also think the Collage released it on a single but I don't have that one

Poppacool - stumbled upon your blog when I did a "Joe Stampley" search on the web. Great music blog! I am similarly obsessed. My blog is only a couple months old, but I'm having a blast - feel free to check it out.

Cheers! Chris - melchris@erols.com
