I picked up this cool UK 45 this summer. I found an equally cool fontana sleeve to pair with it although I doubt it is the correct one

Micke Most - Sea Cruise / It's A Little Bit Hot

I was not aware that Mickie Most sang...I am really familiar with him due to his massive production work. He apparently recorded this before he produced a version for Herman's Hermits

The Diamonds - One Summer Night

 I had another post I wanted to do but the recording was spotty. I really need to check each song after I record them. So I guess I will do my cover version week. The Diamonds   became famous by covering R&B songs. This one made #22 and was their last chart hit. They apparently continue to tour which is amazing as all the original members are deceased.

Dayv Butler - If I Had A Girl / Does Your New Boy Cry

 I end this week with a 2nd JCP, and one with a rare hard to find picture sleeve. I have previously uploaded another Dayv Butler JCP 45 as well as a band he was in (The News-Blue Shoes). It seems each 45 Dayv was involved with was fantastic and I still have a few I need to find. There is not alot information out there about Dayv. He seemed to be very involved in the 60's NC scene and then seemed to vanish

The Bossatettes- Baby Don't Go / Troubles LIke Mine

Soul and the amazing JCP label goes hand in hand. Some of the finest NC soul 45s were on that label and boy were they a limited run. I scored this one this summer (cheap) after trying to find a copy for years. 

Lester Flowers And The Cougers - I Wonder / I Can't Keep From Loving You

 I recorded so many NC 45's that I have had to pick and choose for this week. I found this killer 45 this summer and at the time did not realize it was a North Carolina 45 as it was in a box of 45s I traded for. My first thought was this was going to be a Country 45 so colour me completely surprised and happy!
