I was thinking of yesterday's post..I rarely plan out my posts unless it is a theme week, and with my love of the Ventures I found it difficult to believe I had gone nearly 10 years between posts. That post (and today's) show my compulsion...variations...that is problematic for bands like the Ventures who had different font or label layouts on stock and promo copies...record compulsion is so funny and weird....it's like...I have a stock copy...oh, and there is a promo copy I need...wow, an import, why not. At least it does not hurt anyone but my pocketbook. The Red Rockers China was released the year I graduated High School (oh, you've dated yourself now old boy). I never heard it on the radio proper but remember the video. It was around that time I started exploring the new wave punk scene.
My updating posts continues with #3 on the list- Jefferson Airplane. How fitting of a song is this one...too much division going on in this world. I love the message of this one and it continues to be one of my favorite Airplane songs. That one is almost 10 years old as well. I have been looking for the mp3 for Jerry Holmes but it does not appear in my massive mp3 harddrive. neither is the Ventures Fuzzy mp3 which would have been appropriate for yesterday..looks like I need to re-record them.
