Happy New Years Eve. Another wonderful year of fantastic finds and I really can't wait to see what kind of digging 2025 brings.
A few years ago I referenced how I am searching for evidence if one of Tommy's 45's was actually released in the USA as it is listed in his discography. I finally found the Tommy Roe letter I wrote so I thought why not end the year with some sweet sounds and a picture of the letter and autograph. The search continues.
In the meantime, I thought I would run down some numbers for this blog this year. I have done that in the past but I had some lean years when I did not post much. This year was my best year for posting! I missed one day and I really don't know why (February 3rd). It was a leap year so it still looks like I hit every day...lol. I am engerized by posting daily and I look forward to hitting every day this past year.
First off, the Music Feed website now has my blog as #10 of the 30 best Obscure Music Blogs so I have lost some footing. I find that intersesting as I post daily but maybe because I really don't post on any other social media platform and promote it. I'm not really intersested in Twitter X and crap like that...if I have to start plastering this blog all over I may lose interest again. Now for the stats.

Interesting to see what’s the most viewed!! Enough people have seen the Jerry Holmes though, so I think it’s time to sell it to me 😁 I still have to go back and view your really old posts too so some of those might climb further! happy new year!
If I ever run into another one you know it is yours! That 45 appears to be on that the music links are not there. I uploaded both sides but not together...why?????
Due to having older sisters who had the records, I love Tommy Roe and bubblegum music (could have had an older brother exposing me to the charms of Cactus, Mountain etc, ha ha).
While doing musical research this past year I unearthed something interesting. Steve Clark of OUR Productions started in my hometown of Peoria, IL, owning the Tempus record label. It was mostly famous for the Rockin' R's who got on American Bandstand with their bottom of the charts instrumental hit "The Beat."
Also, the "Bowie" on here is likely "Buie," a storied Lowery Music writer (Classics IV etc).
Wow, thank you for your research!
