The Sandmen - I Can Tell / You Can't Judge A Book By Looking At The Cover

This is one of those bad stories that turn out alright. I bought this on an online auction. The seller said it had some edge issues but was fine...well, it wasn't fine...45 had a damn crack and quite frankly I don't know how they didn't know that! I messaged the seller to request a return and they said keep it and will refund me...well, that was the last I heard...all future messages went unanswered. So, I did something I hate to do, I filed a complaint and was given my money back. I didn't clean this at all as I didn't want to destroy it due to the crack. Very disappointed and the seller just lost a a very good customer!

Elton Britt- Uranium Fever

I tried to upload this today and it finally happened...I used all my free online storage for my file program...so I had to pay for more space. That's a bit frustrating for this being just a fun little daily routine. I have seen where blogspot has income generating ads that can be added to the blog. That was not something I wanted to do but I may need to do that to offset the extra expense. I have seen where some of these files are being downloaded which counts toward my storage so don't bitch if I have to go that route! In the meantime, enjoy this little country bopper/rockabilly

Yes from the soul buy last year...this person put their name on everything in black marker and this one has a date on the otherside. I love these colorful labels

Bobby Vee - I'll Make You Mine / She's Sorry

Do you think Bobby met the Beatles? Beatlesque at it's finest. This should have been a bigger hit than it was- hit #52 on Billboard. My last Bobby Vee post was just over a year ago. 

Barbara And The Browns - Big Party / You Belong To Her

I picked up a several huge lots of 45s a year ago. Both big buys had tons of great soul 45s but unfortunately in one of the buys someone wrote their name in marker on the labels of all these killer soul 45s. I have not found that huge stash this year but I dream about it..lol

Marty Willson-Piper - Tristesse

Album spotlight brings us the new Marty Willson Piper solo LP autographed cover to me! I preordered in advance. He is revisiting his songbook and this is volume 1 and while I could have recorded the whole darn thing it is so good I decided to only do his solo cover of Tristesse, a classic from the Church's Heyday LP.- I only could wish I would have had this  autographed in person- If I had known he was going to be at schoolkids signing all the preorder lp's I might have taken the day off. Marty might have been annoyed with all the Church records and his solo records I would have brought to persuade him to sign...lol

Graham Parker & The Rumour - Hold Back The Night/Sweet On You/White Honey/Soul Shoes

Tuesday brings us a little Graham Parker with an autographed cover- I picked it up last year- I already had it but who could pass up an autographed copy cheap cheap cheap. I have tons of GP records and his newest RSD live LP is wonderful. Could he be the most neglected and underated artist of all time? He seems to be highly respected but the public (except me!)  really has ignored him which is a shame.

 

The Challengers - Torquay / Bulldog

 I have another busy week ahead but I can look forward to having next Monday off. Love the stamp on this record especially if this was they type of record they were distributing

Sister Lucille Pope- Do You Know What Time It Is / Let's Go Back

I knew what time it was....it was another one of those awake at Midnight for a few hours.But I did get back to sleep and when I somehow I was able to get up when I heard the coffee pot start. A medium walk with Cooper, a shower and more coffee and here I am typing.
