I remember my dad received the daily newspaper. One morning I was reading it and there was a little music news and they wrote that Tom Petty's new 45 would be on red vinyl and when it would be released. Being the nerdy 17 year old I was (oh, who am I kidding...I'm still nerdy), I knew a trip to Colorado Springs was in my future. There were several records stores that had the top 100 so I knew I would get it and I did. Shiny red in the plastic sleeve with hype sticker. I later found out about the picture sleeve so of course I had to have that too...and then the promo. Probably one of my favorite Tom Petty songs..not the biggest hit at #21 but still classic. I only saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers live in concert once but it was memorable...they were the backing band for Bob Dylan and I saw them at Red Rocks outside Denver!
